The Sten Molin
In memory of our dear friend Sten Molin, who died at the controls of American Airlines Flight 587 on Novermber 12, 2001.
Sten's love of flying was only matched by his love of sailing. May those who sail aboard this boat develop a similar passion for the sea.

On Saturday, October 5th, 2002 the Board was joined by glorious breezes as well as the Town's three Selectmen, Club Members, and the family and friends of Sten Molin to christen Mercury #1 as a living memorial to his life and love of sailing.
Beyond the gift of a new boat, the Sten Molin Foundation has donated scholarship funds every year since 2003 to enable a junior sailor to learn the joys of sailing through the club-sponsored Greenwich Community Sailing program.
