Support the "Sailing for All" campaign or contribute to general Club activities
The goal of the campaign is to provide sailing instruction at Greenwich Community Sailing for kids in Greenwich who would never otherwise have the opportunity.
As we know, learning about sailing and boating is about a lot of things - trying something new, managing risk, facing what nature hands us, and, of course, having a great time. Through this campaign, you have the opportunity to give a youngster a chance to experience what has for us become a life skill and satisfying vocation.
The target for the 2011 campaign is to raise enough for eight kids - $3,400. If we raise more, we will save the unused funds and apply them to scholarships next year. If we raise less, we will have helped a few more kids have a landmark event this summer. Last year we raised, including the Sten Molin Memorial contribution, $2,850!
The funds will be passed on to the Town of Greenwich Social Services Department, The Young Mariner Foundation of Greenwich, and other similar charities.
How can you contribute?
Using the form below, you can donate to the "Sailing for All" campaign and/or general OGYC activities.
If you are interested in setting up a reoccurring memorial or other type of scholarship fund, please contact Past Commodore Gene Fignar.
